THE LEGEND OF DURANGO
In 1887, Jack Dawson and Miguel Ortega discovered a lost mine in the mountains of northern Mexico. The Durango Mining Company was born around that treasure , and soon after, Old West .
Today the gold rush begins again. Aboard a steam locomotive , you will enter the depths of the mountain on the trail of the richest veins.
The legend continues. And this time, you're on board.

Magicland Italia is currently building a exciting new attraction, a wooden rollercoaster called Durango. This will be a state of the art rollercoaster, featuring 2 European records (at the moment of writing):
- The only wooden rollercoaster in Europe with an inversion
- The longest underground tunnel of a wooden coaster in Europe
PRE-CUT TRACK - NEXT GENERATION PRECISION
The DURANGO track uses Pre-Cut Track technology , which allows the wooden elements to be worked with extreme precision, giving shape to a path designed down to the smallest details.
SOUTHERN YELLOW PINE - WOOD AT THE CENTER OF THE PROJECT
DURANGO is made from Southern Yellow Pine , the yellow pine from the Southern United States, chosen for its structural characteristics and for its use in the construction of the new wooden coaster.
TIMBERLINER - A NEW RUNNING EXPERIENCE
The Timberliner train is designed to take passengers along the DURANGO route and enhance its airtime, turnarounds and quick changes of direction.
SUSTAINABILITY - FORESTS THAT RENEW THEMSELVES
The wood used for DURANGO comes from forests managed according to renewal and reforestation practices , designed to promote the renewal and continuity of forest resources over time.
Installation of the first structural elements has begun, starting with the station, with support from The Gravity Group and MV Rides.
Rainbow MagicLand (until 2012: MagicLand ) is an Italian amusement park located in the town of Valmontone , approximately 50 km from the capital Rome . The park opened in 2011.
